Scarsdale, NY

Scarsdale, located north of New York City, is a beautiful, magnificent place to live. The history of Scarsdale started when Caleb Heathcote named Scarsdale after his home in England shortly after purchasing it. It was founded on March 7, 1788, and had a significant role in the American revolution. It became known through the 1821 novel, The Spy: A Tale of Neutral Ground by James Fenimore Cooper. Scarsdale underwent significant growth in the early 20th century when the New York and Harlem Railroad connected it to New York City.

But enough of the past; what about the present? Celebrities like Glen Close, Bruce Willis, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Michael Douglas, Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively have chosen to live in Scarsdale. Why?
